TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES
Training will be provided. We are looking for someone who is friendly, dependable, and willing to learn. This job includes active work and regular movement. Daily tasks include helping receive and distribute food deliveries by unloading items from trucks, unpacking the goods, checking them with the invoice or purchase order, placing them in the correct area of the storeroom, and retrieving them to deliver to schools as needed. At times there may be a need to drive the department vehicle, so a driver’s license is preferred for the successful candidate.
Other duties may include helping prepare food, serving students and staff, working as a cashier, and keeping the area clean and welcoming. This role helps support our school meal program and plays an important part in serving students every day and follows the school calendar. It is a good choice for someone who wants summers, weekends, and holidays off.
